Tyler Mane Career
During his time with the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico in 1992, Mane made his film debut in Luchadores de las Estrellas as the film’s villain, El Vampiro Interespacial.
While still a member of WCW, he auditioned for and was cast in the television series Smokey and the Bandit. Following his retirement from wrestling, he appeared in a number of films, including X-Men as Sabretooth, How to Make a Monster as Hardcore, Joe Dirt, The Scorpion King, Troy as Ajax, Hercules as Antaeus, and The Devil’s Rejects as Rufus.
The role of Sabretooth was originally intended for Kevin Nash (Mane’s former wrestling tag team partner), but was given to Mane due to scheduling conflicts with Nash.
He played Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween in 2007. Following his casting, he stated that he watched seven of the eight Halloween films (excluding the third because Michael Myers does not appear) in order to better understand his character.
He is the character’s tallest actor (6′ 8″) to date. In 2009, he played Michael Myers again in Rob Zombie’s H2, becoming only the second actor to do so and the first to play the role in consecutive films.
He and his wife founded their own production company, Mane Entertainment, in 2010. Compound Fracture, their first feature film, was released in 2013.
