Remi Lucidi was an international daredevil who comes from France. He died hours ago after one of his stunts failed him which saw him falling to his death from a Hong Kong building’s 68th storey.
Remi climbed the Tregunter Tower complex in Hong Kong when he apparently got stranded outside a penthouse and plunged to his death. Investigators said that when Lucidi entered the building in the evening, he informed the security guard that he was going to the 40th level to visit a friend.
Remi Lucidi’s cause of death has been attributed to a stunt that went horribly wrong as mentioned above. According to South China Morning Post, Lucidi is thought to have climbed to the top level where he became stranded outside and furiously began banging on a window, startling a maid within. After losing his balance, the stuntman fell and died instantly.
When the security guard of the building allegedly tried to cross-examine Lucidi about his allegation that he had been seeing a buddy on the 40th level, the stuntman allegedly had already boarded an elevator.
According to a source who spoke to The Post, Mr Lucidi was last seen alive at around 7.30 p.m. pounding on a penthouse window on the 68th floor of Tregunter Tower, which caused a housekeeper to dial 911.
At the scene, police discovered recordings of extreme sports on Lucidi’s sports camera. The Hong Kong police have not yet released an official statement or stated the reason for the stuntman’s demise.
The adventurer had been staying at a hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui. Hostel owner, Gurjit Kaur, told The Post he was “healthy and fit and happy-faced”.
“I feel very sad,” she added.
Shortly before his death, Lucidi posted a photograph of the Hong Kong skyline on his Instagram profile.
According to his social media page, Lucidi attempted stunts in various parts of the world, such as Bulgaria, Portugal, France, Ukraine and Dubai.
