Hoda Kotb has revealed one of her biggest Today show regrets is announcing on live television that she has a 'landing strip' while talking about female grooming habits with her former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford.
The 55-year-old anchor was on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with her new co-host Jenna Bush Hager on Wednesday night when a caller asked her to name the one thing she shared on the morning show that she wishes she could take back.
'If I could take back the landing strip, I would take that back,' Hoda said, prompting a shocked Jenna to ask: 'When did you reveal the landing strip?'

Candid: Hoda Kotb, 55, opened up about one of her biggest Today show regrets on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday night

Awkward: The anchor said if she could take one thing back, it would be revealing she has a landing strip while talking about grooming with her former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford
'We were talking about grooming, and you know how Kathie Lee is,' Hoda explained. 'She's like, "Well, what do you have?" And I go, "What do you mean?" She goes, "What do you have?" And I felt pressured. So I blurted it out.
'Ever since then, I've felt sick about it,' she admitted. 'When you said it, I just cringed.'
Host Andy Cohen couldn't resist asking if Kathie Lee, now 66, revealed what she has during the cringe-worthy conversation.
'Full everything,' he guessed correctly. 'But grooms,' Hoda added.
Hoda revealed she had a landing strip during a bizarre discussion with Kathie Lee that took place during their fourth-hour segment on the Today show in March 2013.
The two were talking about grooming styles, and Kathie Lee made her disgust with the landing strip style apparent from the get-go.

Stunned: Hoda's new co-host Jenna Bush Hager couldn't resist asking: 'When did you reveal the landing strip?'

Still talking about it: Host Andy Cohen correctly guessed Kathie Lee has 'full everything,' prompting Hoda to add: 'But groomed'
View this post on Instagram'It's just wrong. Is a guy supposed to make like sounds?' she asked before making plane noises and miming landing an aircraft.
'Which one are you, missy?' she asked Hoda, who replied: 'I'm the landing strip.'
Kathie Lee's jaw dropped, and while Hoda was desperate to change the topic, her co-host wouldn't let it go.
'Seen any 747s recently?' Kathie Lee joked. 'Hoda just told the whole world she has a landing strip. These things live on in infamy.'
It was at that moment that Hoda realized what she had just done.
'You know what's funny? It actually didn't hit me until you just repeated it again, Hoda said, and nearly seven years later, she is still mortified by the confession.

Hoda made the revelation while talking to Kathie Lee about grooming on the Today show in 2013. She explained that she 'felt pressured' when Kathie Lee kept asking her what has

Awkward: Hoda said she 'blurted it out' without thinking and has 'felt sick about it' ever since
Hoda and Jenna continued their chat with Andy on the WWHL After Show, where the latter was asked to weigh-in on the best baby gift she received from her Today show co-stars.
Jenna, 38, couldn't resist pointing out that Hoda can't even remember the name of her baby boy Hal, who was born in August 2019.
'Hoda, what's the name of my child?' she asked.
'I keep forgetting it,' Hoda admitted. 'It's...'
Jenna insisted that she has to know it because they have gone over it numerous times, but Hoda was still flustered.
'Wait, wait, I do know it,' she said before pausing and asking her co-host to 'wink' if she's on the right track.

Whoops: During the chat, Hoda admitted she can never remember the name of her new co-host Jenna Bush Hager's son, Hal, who was born in August 2019

Looking back: Jenna said that when Hoda came to visit Hal with her nearly three-year-old daughter, Haley Joy, they brought an apple as a gift
'Hal!' Jenna finally yelled.
The mother of three went on to say that when Hoda came to visit Hal with her nearly three-year-old daughter, Haley Joy, they had an unusual gift.
'Hoda came to visit, and she brought an apple as the gift. Actually, Haley brought the apple,' Jenna said.
'We didn't have anything. We drove over,' Hoda admitted.
Andy, however, didn't think it was a bad thing. The father, who has a one-year-old son, Benjamin, said he is thrilled when people show up at his house empty-handed because doesn't need or want anything.
'Exactly,' Jenna agreed. 'With the third child, I mean he's wearing hand-me-downs. He doesn't want a thing.
'I think their advice is what's most important and their friendship,' she said of her co-stars. 'And not to be cliche or cheesy, but it's true.'

Looking back: Hoda also discussed her awkward interview with Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who were on the Today show earlier his month

Yikes: The anchor brought up Nick's ex-wife, Jessica, saying they sent her a gift once, but the couple denied ever doing so

Surprise: Hoda, who had just interviewed Jessica, admitted that she didn't see the interview taking such a turn when she brought up what she thought was a nice moment between them
Jenna never actually answered the question, so Andy did it for her.
'And the answer is Savannah [Guthrie],' he joked.
Hoda also discussed her awkward interview with Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who were on the Today show earlier his month to promote their new Netflix series Love is Blind.
The anchor brought up a recent interview she had done with Nick's ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, recalling how the 'Open Book' author said she was happy for the Lacheys and had once received a gift from them.
However, things got a bit uncomfortable when Nick and Vanessa said they had never sent Jessica a present.
'It wasn't us, but thank you whoever sent it,' Vanessa said, later insisting she doesn't even know Jessica's address.
Hoda admitted that she didn't see the interview taking such a turn when she brought up what she thought was a nice moment between Jessica and the Lacheys.
'Here's the thing: When I was interviewing Jessica, she was talking about, like, on what great terms everyone was,' she explained. 'Like, "I'm so happy for them. I have children. They have children."
'And she mentioned something, I thought, about a gift. So, I was like, "Oh, so everybody's happy." So when they came, I was like, "Isn't that cool? Everybody's friends." And then that wasn't the way it was received."
'I didn't understand what was going on,' she added. 'I was actually confused.'
